I grew up on a small, humble farm in the countryside. It wasn’t a place of wealth, but it was always full of life—thanks to a pack of loyal Chinese rural dogs who guarded us, played with us, and filled our days with warmth. They weren’t pedigree dogs, but to me, they were family.

As years passed, many of them faced illness or accidents due to limited resources. Each time I returned home for the holidays, I would find that one familiar little soul was no longer there. What broke me even more was how time slowly faded their faces and quirks from my memory.
That realization changed everything for me.
They had lived. They had loved.
They deserved to be remembered.
